My Wall Planters shaped as a Lily Leaf, are perfect for displaying your Tillandsia in a modern and contemporary style. I make each piece individually so they are one-of-a-kind by using the impression from a real leaf. I decorate them with an attractive rustic mid green glaze with ‘toasted’ edges and veins. The price does not include the air plant as they are too delicate to post, but can be easily purchased at garden centres.
I make my Wall Planters for air plants by pressing a real leaf into clay, making an impression. Then I cut around the shape and fold it into a sculptural form. This particular design is inspired by the Calla Lily, yet using a leaf as the decorative texture. This design looks particularly attractive as a pair or trio on a wall and can hold air plants (or candle tea lights as an alternative).
I use stoneware clay fired to 1260 degrees, making each planter durable and robust.
Dimensions: typically 25 x 30 cm planter height, 10 cm at widest point, with a depth (coming outwards from the wall) of approximately 4/5 cm.
Please wipe clean with soapy water if necessary.
Air Plant Care
When you purchase your own air plant, they like to be housed in an airy light room. They absorb moisture from the air but will need an extra spray with water (preferably filtered or rain water) twice a week in temperate climates. During summer they may require spraying every day dependant on the temperature.
In stock, ready made items will be dispatched within 3 days of order confirmation.
Please get in touch with me if you would like a bespoke piece made (3-4 weeks delivery). I can use your own large leaves and adapt colours.
