Leaf Platter Workshop

I am so excited to be offering you the chance to create with clay in the lap of luxury at Whatley Manor!

One date is secured for 2021 with other dates pending:
Wednesday 20th October 2021
Please contact Whatley Manor on Tel: +44 (0) 1666 822 888 to book.

I will guide you through the process of making a ceramic leaf platter or dish. We will start the day by foraging leaves in the Whatley Estate (or you can bring your own favourite leaves). I will then teach you how to hand-build with slabs of clay and form a beautiful artisan platter or dish, using the impression from a real leaf. I will even bring along some pond lily leaves so you can re-create the dishes Niall Keating used on the TV series, the ‘Great British Menu’!

You will also receive tea and coffee on arrival and be treated to an exceptional 2 course lunch with wine. Lunch will be served in Grey’s Brasserie.

Your finished platter or dish will be fired and glazed in natural rustic green by Sonya and ready for collection from Whatley Manor 3 weeks after the workshop.

Please view the itinerary below for further information about the timings of the day.
